Niche Blueprint Privacy Policy (www.nicheblueprint.us)
This Privacy Policy is effective as of August 1st, 2009.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Niche Blueprint collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Niche Blueprint’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Niche Blueprint’s visitors use its websites. From time to time, Niche Blueprint may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its websites.

Niche Blueprint also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Niche Blueprint does not use such information to identify its visitors, and does not disclose such information other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to Niche Blueprint’s websites choose to interact with Niche Blueprint in ways that require Niche Blueprint to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Niche Blueprint gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who use our facilities to provide a username and email address. In each case, Niche Blueprint collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Niche Blueprint. Niche Blueprint does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website related activities.

Aggregated Statistics

Niche Blueprint may collect statistics about the behaviour of visitors to its websites. For instance, Niche Blueprint may reveal how many downloads a particular item got or other statistics about most popular products. However, Niche Blueprint does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

Niche Blueprint discloses potentially personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Niche Blueprint’s behalf or to provide services available at Niche Blueprint’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose or use it otherwise. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Niche Blueprint’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Niche Blueprint will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying information to anyone, unless it is part of a business transfer, as described below.

Other than to its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations, as described above Niche Blueprint discloses potentially personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when Niche Blueprint believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Niche Blueprint, third parties, or the public at large.

If you are a registered user of a Niche Blueprint website and have supplied your email address, Niche Blueprint may occasionally send you an email to tell you about the facility and changes or new features added to it, or to solicit your feedback about the facility, or just keep you up to date with major developments at Niche Blueprint. We primarily use our blogs or onsite notices to communicate this type of information, so it is unlikely that you will receive this type of email communication, unless you subscribed to a specific service with an option to unsubscribe whenever you wish to do so.

If you send us a request (for example via a support facility or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it without your contact details in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users.

Niche Blueprint takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of potentially personally-identifying information.

Business Transfers

Niche Blueprint may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including subscription services in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy. However such transactions will be announced publically at least 30 days in advance and the details will be published prominently on the affected facility.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Niche Blueprint may use harmless cookies to help identify visitors and their usage of facilities and access preferences. Visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before browsing the Internet, with the drawback that certain features of websites may not function properly without it. All login and online purchase facilities require cookies or else it will not be possible to facilitate such a transaction.

The Bottom Line in Layman’s Terms

We care and value your privacy and will protect it as if it is our own privacy that is at stake. We want to serve you to the best of our ability, which we cannot do if we don’t know anything about you or if we cannot communicate with you. We therefore require some information about you if you wish to communicate with us and we also need general statistics so that we can maintain our websites and cater for increased website traffic. We don’t have any need to spy on you or spam you, as that is about the dumbest thing any person or organization can do.

We wish to thank to wordpress.com for making their privacy policy available under a Creative Commons Share-alike license.
