How Do Bing Search Engines Work? Through Web Spiders

Bing search engine is another website that we all go to when we search for almost anything on the internet. It is a site or engines that routes traffic to your website. It is important to know how they actually work and how they present information to the searchers in order for you to tweak your site and get maximum result.

There are actually two types of search engines, one of them uses virtual robots called as spiders or crawlers. Search engines like Bing and Google uses these spiders to index a website. A spider is an automated program that is being run by a system of the engine. If you submit your site to Bing or Google by completing a submission form or by any other ways, then they will automatically send their spiders to index your website. These spiders will then visit a site and read its content on visible pages, site’s map tags and links in a certain website that also leads to other sites. Said spider will then return all gathered information back to its central depository (this is where data are being stored).

We all know that as our technology improves, these said spiders are getting more efficient and smarter. They can actually index and read static and dynamic information, video information and flash contents on a website. Due to said advancements, it’s no longer required to have 500 website pages to be included in the top 10 ranking. A spider also returns regularly on a website to check for new information that a certain site has added to its content. Said frequency of visits is being determined by the programmers of Bing search engine, Google and Yahoo.

Please note that a spider is just like a book that contains its own table of contents, links, actual contents and references of all the websites that it finds while it is performing its searches. Added to that, a single spider can actually index almost 1 million pages in a single day.

When you ask Bing search engine to find information, what it does is that it actually searches through indexes that it has created and not actually searches the web. While different search engines are able to produce different results in rankings, because not all search engines use the same process in searching through their independent indexes. These are some of the ways on how Bing search engine works.

The Benefits of Using SEO Software

Search engine optimization is the utilization of techniques that help increase the rankings of a website within search engine results. Thus, SEO software refers to a computer application (either web-based or downloadable) that automates the SEO process.

No Experience Required – Most search engine optimization (S.E.O.) software services are designed for small to mid-sized businesses that have no prior SEO knowledge or experience. It makes an often complicated and time-consuming process easy and user-friendly so anyone can do it. Many SEO software services offer step-by-step instructions, online guides, and tutorials that can help familiarize users with S.E.O.

Transparency – When you bring your S.E.O. in-house and do it yourself, there is a level of transparency that is often not acquired when working with an outside agency. Using SEO software allows you to oversee the entire SEO process, from changes making changes to your website to building valuable links that point to your website.

Keyword Assistance – Not sure which keywords are the best to target for your website? Most SE0 software programs can help users determine the most beneficial and relevant keywords to target.

Cost-Effective – Outsourcing S.E.O. and internet marketing can cost a company thousands of dollars each month. S.E.O. software can yield the same favorable results at a fraction of the cost of using an agency. In addition, users can actually learn about and how to do SEO, acquiring valuable internet marketing skills.

Web-Based – While not all SEO software programs are web-based, look for ones that are. Web-based SE0 software means you don’t have to download any bulky or external software directly onto your computer and you can access your account from any computer with a high-speed Internet connection.

Link Variation – Good SEO product will be able to get your website lots of unique links from various different sources. Make sure the software you are looking to buy contains several different way of getting unique links. For example, you’ll want a software that can more than just directory submissions, such as relevant blogs to comment on, article submission sites, relevant Q&A platforms, social media sites, etc.

Results – Search engine optimization is all about improving your keyword search results. If you aren’t seeing any kind of improvements after several months of using an SEO software product, it may be time to start looking for a different product. A good product will be able to track your results and show where and by how much your keyword rankings have improved.

Basic Principles of Link Building Campaigns

If you’ve already studied the basics of optimizing your website to be as search engine and user friendly as possible, the next step in your SEO campaign may be to begin link building. Unfortunately, there are a lot of rumors and myths about the best methods to link build that will not only get you penalized by Google, but have you spending a great deal of time and money on methods that are not effectively. The following tips will help you approach link building in the most ethical, efficient way possible.

Quality Over Quantity

A common misconception for people marketing their website is that having more links on other websites pointing to yours makes you more prominent. When approaching link building, you need to have the mindset that it is just like real life networking with other people. The efficacy of relevant, reputable sources noting that you too are a credible organization is extremely high both on the web and off. For example, if you own a restaurant and you have a few friends who say your food is great, that’s wonderful, but it isn’t as nearly as powerful as if you had Emeril Lagasse give you an raving review. Having a single high quality link to your site is much more valuable to both users and search engines than if you have several unestablished websites linking to you.

Avoid “Bad Neighborhoods”

While quality links from reputable sites are important, it is equally important to avoid having your links in “bad neighborhoods” or sites that contain spam on them. In another real world example, let’s assume that you see a group of people and it consists of a drug dealer, a bookie, a prostitute, a thug, and a chef. While the chef is innocent enough on his own, his association with the shady characters in the group destroys his credibility and gives him a negative connotation – this concept applies for links on the web as well! You want your inbound links to be around other credible, reputable links rather than be associated with spam by both users and search engines.

Start with Business Directories

Now that you understand some of the core fundamentals of link building, you can begin conscientiously placing you links out on the web. Listing your business in credible business directories is a wonderful foundation for inbound links to your website. However, understand that there are a lot of directories out there that require payment for a link and very few of them are actually worth the money you spend. Search engines such as Google actually look at several factors when determining the worth of a link from a business directory and this excellent video from Matt Cutts shows how Google evaluates business directories:

Examples of Credible Business Directories

Alexa | Best of the Web | Better Business Bureau | Business.com Directory | DMOZ Open Directory Project | Google Business Directory | Google Local Business Center | InCrawler | Yahoo! Directory | Yellowpages | Superpages.

Notice that the above directories are all highly notable, reputable directories that are deeply categorized so that your website can be associated with others similar to you and yield a great amount of relevant traffic.

Blogging and Customer Service

Keeping an up-to-date blog with information about your company, your service and your industry is an excellent way to display your authority and authenticity. As a startup company, you need to demonstrate that you are highly knowledgeable about your field and keep an open line of communication to demonstrate you are willing to provide excellent customer service. “Customer service on a blog, what?” Most people will tell you that the primary function of blogging for a company is to help drive traffic and to create resource material that people want to read about, which is true and we could talk ad nauseum about that like so many others have, but as a startup you need to focus on building your brand and proving that you are writing for and listening to your audience. Your focus should be on impressing the people that comment and ask questions by giving them well constructed responses and making them know that you care. People are loyal to the company that gives the best customer service, not the one with the flashiest or most expensive product. Continue a high standard of customer service by answering questions on other blogs in your industry and not only will people visit your site as a result, but you’re building quality inbound links at the same time!

Engage in Social Media

By properly utilizing Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Stumbleupon, Delicious, Technorati and any other widely used social media site, your brand and your links can be easily seen by hundreds if not thousands of people right from the start. As you grow your presence and become a well known figure in your community and industry, people will undoubtedly begin to retweet your posts, post about you on their blogs and support your company as a whole. Success in social media is defined by the amount of user engagement you have and this is invaluable when it comes to building inbound links.

The explosive growth of your content going viral or the steady growth of tens, hundreds and even thousands of people talking about you consistently is incredibly powerful. Focus on providing excellent customer service with great, authoritative content and you will be well on your way to a highly successful link building campaign.

Website SEO

SEO is an acronym thrown around a lot but how many business owners really understand website search engine optimization, how it works or how to achieve it?

Website SEO encompasses everything you do to your site so that search engines can find it and place it high in the results listings for specific searches.

Therefore SEO is only as good the research invested. It can be wasted money if you don’t know what your customers are searching for. There are businesses who have spent significant amounts on SEO to rank highly for their business name only. It is possibly more important to list highly for searches that potential customers who do not yet know your name make.

In short SEO without research is wasted.

When you have the keywords it is more than just using them in your copy and in your meta tags on pages. Search engines will look at your page titles, descriptions, headings, images, links and content for your keywords and relevance.

Keywords alone are not enough either. Keywords can be overused in effort to rank highly but with too high a density you can be penalized by the search engines.

The search engine is trying to establish how relevant your website content is and what it is relevant to. Hence the keywords indicate what searches your content is relevant to. How relevant you are is a different story.

Do you have good quality links from other sites to yours? Are people bookmarking your website on social bookmarking sites and talking about you in social media? These things are measures of how relevant the marketplace sees your content. Good interesting quality content will be pointed to from a number of different sources.

Becoming an important result for searches to the search engines is actually a bit of a science. SEO services can be expensive because it involves a lot more than just putting words on your website.

Website SEO however is only one part of the puzzle. It is about making it easy for your customers to find you.

Ways Search Engines perform

SEO or search engine optimization strives to get web sites extra visibility, in relation to their significance to any particular search. They control programs known as spiders, which go to many web pages or Url to look up the content of the site, as well as search for other links to examine later on. They are called web crawlers and they scan the content of different web sites including web pages. The spiders send these scanned results back to algorithm, which will at the end be broken down further to be analyzed. Once the these spiders visit a link to a page, the links are stored. Other spiders over time will keep on to crawl the linked-to pages. Added links from other sites and pages will lead to non-stop crawls and visits, thus boosting reputation and likely sales.

Analyzing Your Data

Search engines normally analyze over 200 factors to identify the suitable pages that have to rank for definite queries. Factors include details enclosed in the web pages or on-page factors like title heading and page content. Off-site factors might also be included. These factors may possibly include words used to link back to your site, the reputation of the page linking to you and how long the link has been put on. Be informed that both the off site and on site factors do actually determine the search engine rankings.

Quality Site Design

When creating a web site, try to aspire for easy-to-understand site architecture and simplicity. This makes it easier for search engines and your site visitors to locate. Try as much as possible to organize your web site into sections. Good quality site architecture will organize the domain name with regards to the proper description of your chosen subject matter. With excellent site architecture you will be provided with a lot of advantages like simple expansion, since the site can be alienated into handy sections, easily to access, since the site can easily be viewed and the URL controlled by users and easy to maintain, since the web site can be broken down into paths that are easy to navigate.

Keyword Relevancy

Continuously make use of high-quality and effective keywords that is appropriate to your chosen subject matter. With your title, content and right keywords, visitors can easily find you. Add secondary terms that pertain to your chosen topic. Operate with keyword generating tools and other online training materials that will guide you in improving the web site entirely. As of today, there are so many things you should know while using keywords, like making use of plural or singular terms, order of words and head keywords.
